Question: A bag contains 15 balls 5 blue and rest red. By adding some more blue balls the probability of drawing blue balls becomes 3/2 times that of red ball. Find the number of blue balls added.                     Or
A circus tent is cylindrical up to a height of 5 m and conical above it. If the diameter of the base is 35 m and slant height of conical part is 63 m find the cost of canvas used to make the tent at Rs. 30/m2.

Question :  A motor boat whose speed is 18 km/hr in still water takes 1hr more to go 24 km upstream than to return downstream to the same spot. Find the speed of the stream.                        Or
A train travels at a certain average speed for a distance of 63 km and then travels at adistance of 72 km at an average speed of 6 km/hr more than its original speed. 

Question : A bucket of height 8cm and made up of copper sheet is in the form of frustum of a right circular cone with radii of its lower & upper ends as 3cm & 9cm respectively. Calculate the height of the cone of which the bucket is a part.     Or       Draw a pair of tangents inclined to each other at an angle of 60 to a circle of radius 3 cm.

Question : The sum of the 4th and 8th terms of an AP is 24 and the sum of the 6th and 10th terms is 44. Find the first three terms of the AP.          Or
A tree 12m high is broken by the wind in such a way that its top touches the ground and makes an angle of 60o with the ground. At what height from bottom the tree is broken by the wind. Give the answer to the second place of decimal.

Question : A bucket of height 8 cm and made up of copper sheet is in the form of frustum of a right circular cone with radii of its lower & upper ends as 3 cm & 9 cm respectively. Calculate the height of the cone of which the bucket is a part.                         Or 
Find the sum of all two digit numbers which when divided by 7 gives a remainder of 3.

Question : 50 circular discs, each of radius 7cm and thickness 0.5cm are placed one above the other. Find the total surface area of the solid so formed. Find how much space will be left in a cubical box of side 25cm if the solid formed is placed inside it.    Or    Find the number of spherical lead shots , each of diameter 6 cm that can be made from a solid cuboid of lead having dimensions 24 cm x 22 cm x 12 cm.

Question: A copper wire 0.4 cm in diameter is evenly wound about a cylinder whose length is 24 cm and diameter 20 cm so as to cover the whole surface. Find the length and weight of the wire assuming the specific gravity to be 10 gm/cm3.           Or
Two circles touch externally. The sum of their areas is 130 π sq cm and the distance between the centers is 14 cm. find the radii of the circles.
